Jeans. T-shirt. Boots. Guitar. Tyler's
appearance is indicative of his style of
music. Simple, straight forward and candid.
Born in Mobile,
Alabama, Tyler's music is well rooted in
Southern Americana. Growing up listening
to his uncle play guitar and sing on the
porch deck of a beach house, Tyler's inspiration
came at an early age. Tyler attended the
Florida State University, where he became
refreshingly dependent on his fan base.
Paying his dues and performing in bars for
eight years before recording his first album,
Whiskey Down (February, 2008),
he has tailored his music to the live venue.
His performances
are infectiously enjoyable and fun. Tyler's
blend of Texas-style, raw country and Americana
finds audiences that wait with open arms
and raised glasses.
Whiskey Down is "chock-full of the
kind of honky-tonk style and guitar grit
that Nashville has largely abandoned."
- Access Atlanta
Tyler Reeve has the "...ability
to sound like classic Lynyrd Skynyrd one
minute and the new mainstream country chart
climber James Otto the next." He "brings
something unique and new to southern rock..."
- Performer Magazine
Tyler Reeve's "Whiskey
Down" flows in a direct, conversational
way that leaves no doubt these songs were
written to be sung directly to people having
a good time. He didn't get this far by making
his blend of rock and country Nashville-slick;
he got this far by serving it up fresh to
the people in the front row. " - Mobile
Press-Register
"A veteran
in his mid-twenties of travel between venues
and cities, Reeve already has won over audiences
everywhere with his easygoing charisma and
at-home-on-the-porch stage presence."
- Florida Sun Times
"The intensity
and passion behind his music is most evident
in his live performances, mainly driven
by his appreciation for his fan base. Reeve
is vulnerable in a way that few other musicians
are and is refreshingly dependent on his
fans." - Florida Flambeau
